I slept in this morning, until around 9 am, and remembered I needed to feed the cats. My husband normally feeds them, but he’s out of town for a week. It’s been raining with thunder and lightening, so they’re huddled together on the back porch.

I begin my usual routine of making coffee and then a morning pill, with a full glass of water, while I wait. I bought my favorite doughnuts yesterday, so I warm one up in the microwave, to have one with my coffee. I take both back to the bedroom and watch the news while I try to actually wake up. By now my son has risen for the day and is watching cartoons.

After my second cup of coffee, I start up the laptop and go to my favorite site for the news. I then go to my social network site to see if I’ve missed anything posted by relatives and friends. Lots of local comments about the rain, but nothing much really to report that I might have missed.
